Severe floods in Brazil’s southern state left at least 90 people dead, 131 missing, and 155,000 homeless. The capital Porto Alegre was cut off as roads, airports and water treatment plants were submerged. Almost 500,000 people were without power, and five hydroelectric dams were shut down.
